Week of the Young Child™, sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), is an opportunity for early childhood programs across the country to hold activities bringing awareness to the needs of young children.
Week of the Young Child™ (WOYC) is a time to reach out in our communities to help work toward the guarantee that all young children thrive and learn in a society dedicated to ensuring they reach their full potential. You are one of the crucial elements in building a community that supports our earliest learners and this is an opportunity to show your support for early education.

For the 2017 WOYC, Our Neighborhood cam together with the Central Virginia AEYC, our local NAEYC affiliate, to connect and celebrate through playing The Brain Architecture Game together. We invitied educators, medical professionals, parents, and policymakers to join us to play, learn, and show their support for early childhood education.
