Sara has been in Charlottesville for the last thirteen years and has split her time professionally between: early childhood and food. After taking some time to pursue a certificate program in Culinary Arts at PVCC, she is back in ECE.

Community work has always been one of Sara’s central passions: building networks of mutual aid, facilitating community accountability, and showing up for liberation work of all stripes. The work of building a better world is always hard but when done with joy, more exciting and more effective. 

This is what drew Sara to ONCDC. The stated values and the way they are implemented tirelessly and with forgiveness for our humanity and the humanity of our friends feels unique even in a shifting ECE landscape. She is excited to learn and grow in an environment with well established practice of being deeply values based.
